A Night of Unity: Performances from WriteGirl
Saturday, April 9, 2022
Thanks to everyone who joined us at our online public reading to celebrate the launch of the second issue of Lines & Breaks: A Literary Journal From WriteGirl on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 5pm – 6pm (Pacific Time) via Zoom! Lines & Breaks showcases creative writing from WriteGirl teens and alums in poetry, fiction, songwriting, screenwriting, journalism and more. In partnership with LA vs. Hate, the second issue focuses on uplifting diversity and promoting tolerance in Los Angeles and abroad. Get a glimpse into different foods, traditions and music that create the vibrant tapestry of Los Angeles and cities around the world.
We were excited to welcome Keiko Agena (Gilmore Girls, Prodigal Son) as a special guest performer!
Several WriteGirl teen writers and alums performed their work at the event, along with special guests!
Thank you to LA vs. Hate for partnering with WriteGirl and supporting this second issue of Lines & Breaks, promoting unity and community in Los Angeles.
